Since the year 2004, Sam has been the proud owner of two midi cables. They are currently in his closet under some other shit.

Soulful joker Samiyam of the Brainfeeder clan has garnered an international following for his shifty, slouchy, street-infused beats. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Samiyam is part of the independent producers movement and rose to prominence from inside his bedroom walls, through beats shared on a global level between producers, DJs, and fans hungry for his laid-back sound.
Funky and disjointed, Samiyam’s music thumps with a hip-hop backbone and swaggers into the future through a smokey cloud of jazz influences and a twisted sensibility from an artist who uses a “platinum midi toaster-oven” as equipment and hand-designed each individual album cover for his last release – on porn pages.

With a wide sweep of inspiration from video games to Italian horror movies to Michael Jackson, Samiyam unravels sounds then shoves them back together in clever new ways. His music mutates and then takes shape into a hard and sloppy sonic experience, textured by wet beats that drip with soul.
Samiyam was Hyperdub’s first US signing and has also released on a plethora of highly respected labels including Warp Records, Ninja Tune, Poo-Bah, and Brainfeeder. His first full-length album, Rap Beats Vol. 1, was a copious collection of deconstructed delights that showcased this young producer’s quick thinking and keen ear for unusual combinations.

Now a resident of Los Angeles and an integral member of the local beat community, Samiyam collaborates with Flying Lotus under the name FlyamSam and released a full-length album "Sam Baker's Album" last fall on Brainfeeder. Like concrete smashing through a dirty window, the sound of Samiyam shatters expectations, and if you listen closely to the fragmented shards of bouncing street bass, you can hear his swag.

In defying the laws of tradition, Los Angeles based music producer Mono/poly (born Charles Dickerson) has managed to outstrip the logics of multi-genre producing. Known for his distinct madness of face melting bass, paired with his dreamy astral soundscapes of glitch-based hip-hop, Mono/ploy has proved himself to be a natural phenomenon.

His debut album, The George Machine (EP) was released in the fall of 2009 on Faces Records, which was followed by his first full-length solo album Paramatma (Tasteful Licks) in the spring of 2010. In 2011, Mono/Poly released Manifestations, making a strong debut on the Brainfeeder label, and it continues its heavy rotation being played by the likes of Radiohead, Erykah Badu and Jay Scarlett at BBC Radio's 1XTRA.

Mono/Poly appears on releases from Warp records and Planet Mu, featured alongside fellow artists Flying Lotus and Nosaj Thing. His gravitational attraction to revolutionary sounds has gained vast recognition among listeners and artists as one of the hottest up-and-coming producers in the world.

Currently, he is working on his latest album that is to be released sometime in mid 2012. Mono/poly continues to perform his live sets across the globe having covered places such as Greece, Switzerland, France and Lithuania, in addition to his touring in the US.

Brainfeeder's latest artist RYAT (pronounced "riot") is the brainchild of Christina Ryat, a producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and sound manipulator who uses live electronics, instruments, pedals, and software to create avant compositional tunes. A recent LA transplant via Philadelphia, this versatile artist has a vast array of musical styles and prestige. Last year, commissioned by the Annenberg Foundation she composed a French influenced classical piece with traditional Indian dance. Followed with an extensive US electronic tour promoting her critically acclaimed avant big beat album Avant Gold. Avant Gold and RYAT's intense live show caught the eye of Flying Lotus who asked her to join the exclusive Brainfeeder roster. Ryat's latest LP TOTEM will be released MAY 2012 on BRAINFEEDER.

RYAT's main collaborator live and in the studio is with MAST(Tim Conley), the Nels Cline-esque guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer. Tim has also toured as the guitar player for the Grammy award winning Digable Planets. Ryat has a diverse list of collaborations not set in one scene. She has hit electronics with King Britt and the Disco Biscuits, high brow jazz improvisations with Billy Martin(MMW), Calvin Weston(Ornette Coleman), and Mark Guiliana, and even avant indie rockers like Pow Pow (from MANMAN) and Botany. RYAT, well known for her explosive live show has shared the stage with artists like Flying Lotus, the Flaming Lips, Mew, Diplo, Saturn Never Sleeps.

URB Magazine- "So overtaken by the witchy, glitchy, orchestral charm of their sound."
Bitch Magazine- "If you like getting lost in Animal Collective and Radiohead, RYAT's rainbow-tinged electronic pop is right up your alley.
Curious and complex, their arrangements are innovative and shimmering"
SOMA Magazine- "Creating Sounds that can't be pigeonholed. Dense asymmetric rhythmic textures, swirling multi-layered vocals, unexpected
shifts in tempo and cryptic lyrics."
Nylon Magazine- "There is some serious experimental music coming from this trip-hop duo from Philly."
Philadelphia City Paper- "part melodic hit-making material, part some other wonderfully bizarre thing less easily mined and identified"
RCRDLBL- "tapping into some serious fast-paced, bordello-imbued Bjork vibes...electronically lush with driving percussion and creates
urgency with its post-punk-influenced guitars."
BUST Magazine- "Whether swimming the mainstream or remaining the best kept secret, RYAT maintains their envelope-pushing ways"
Redefine Magazine- "I can honestly say I have never seen a band perform like this. It was seriously incredible, and incredibly bizarre."

Growing up in the Southern U.S., TightMike credits a few things as the end-all, most influential factors in his music… 808 drums, deathly hot summers, DJ Screw tapes, and his grandma's home cooking. The music is just as much an homage to the music of the south, as it is a cultural study on rhythms and musical subcultures of the world. Fascinated with creating a balance between these two worlds, but always maintaining a universally smooth vibe.

Beyond Just his production and remixing, Mike brings a live set that challenges traditional DJing. Actually live remixing rap vocals , and re-purposing r&b vocals as instruments, but never losing sight of the dancefloor.

Most recently known for his project FALCONS (Alphapup Records) with long time friend Kayleo Stocko (in Oakland, Ca). Some of the shows Falcons have been involved in, in the past, present or future are Low End Theory LA & SF, Love Parade Music Festival SF, Change the Beat SF, Boiler Room LA (our set will be live broadcasted in June online), Hellfyre/Alphapup Artists Showcase, Shambhala Music Festival Vancouver, West Coast tour 2012, and much more!
