subdivision 2011 recaps

SUBDIV has been running it in victoria for what seems like way longer than they've actually been officially around. maybe that has to do with the quality and consistancy, and endless string of solid events they keep churning out. check out the list of 2011 RECAPS. each day in december a different artist does a recap.

12/8/11

GARDE & EAMES - bricks lp

brand new full length free release from prison garde & eames
it's a smooth ride thru and thru, and something about it just feels good. maybe it's the souls of all that hardware. there's a well put together little pdf that comes with it too. vancouver represent.

DAEGA SOUND downloads

two new mixs, free for download from daega. one is a DJ MIX. the other is an ALL ORIGINALS MIX. of course, both resonant with the consistant quality deep space dubstep sound that folks know as daega. the brothers searles also just got themselves on twitter - follow them here. still no facebook tho (good on ya!).

vincent parker - respecanize

check out the lastest free release from vancouver's own vincent parker. the first three tunes in particular are exceptional. slower grindy extreme-sidechaining dreamy stuff that builds with a nice moving intensity and has some interesting very "live" (cuz they are) sounding changes. you can get a real feel for how these tunes were all recorded live off the floor. download respecanize here.
