there are many legitimate reasons to get excited about new forms festival this year. one is fact that it's at science world. another is the line-up for the 2nd floor on saturday night. if you're unfamiliar - follow the links and you will discover just how world class these names are. this is a raw, undiluted, and generous dose of what's next and now in the realms of (true) forward-moving bass music. have a look..

"8prn (a.k.a. fellow Vancouver producer Project Pablo) morphs Michael Red's slow and dramatic 'Top' into a more head-nod-worthy
production, wrapping a new low-end bounce and layers of bright chords to
the otherwise airy track."
• 8prn's treatment is a colourful and bright take on the original, with tight and playful percussion balanced out by generous breakdowns and lighthearted melodies.
• beamhead trendlessly throws down a bubbling psychedelic live remix of michael red's 'duh', dipped several times in soul.
• okpk gives the dark and beautiful melodies of 'this one time' the extended life they deserve, from a perfectly moody introduction to a stripped-down metallic rhythmic work-out and back again.
• self evident has created a monster, letting oshea's original vocal work it's magic supported by the lushest pads and atmospheres, building to a drop that elevates emotions that much higher. good enough that we had to release the instrumental as well.
out to silence and eli muro for inviting some cats out to sub shop. great vibes and the perfect way to spend a wednesday night in van. frumlater went smooth, mred went sideways, and tusk went all the way in.
